Coloring is Fun!

Children invitation: Event title) coloring contest at (garden center). Kids from pre-school thru the ninth grade, are welcome to participate in a creative expression of environmental awareness. The contest will be segmented in to age groups. Come by and pick up your contest entry information and details at (garden center).

Details:

• Coloring contest: Grouping contestants by skill level and knowledge, such as, pre-school to 1st grade, combine 2nd and 3rd grades and having the 4th and 5th grades together.
• Different levels of coloring pages for each group
• Poster contest for 6th and 7th grade children with the same message and requirements
• Offer more advanced topics for the 8th and 9th grade students to work with

Judges: One of the most important aspects of this event, television personalities should be your first choice. They sometimes bring a cameraperson with them. Politicians, local school officials, teachers, art directors will work also, just make sure it is not you or a member of your staff doing the judging.

We have all been to “Back to School Night” and enjoyed looking at the posters and artwork displayed on the walls of the school. This is a simple event, but an effective way to awaken an awareness of our environment for the young people involved and the adults that will witness the imagination and creativity these kid’s possess.
